PURPOSES AND STATEMENT OF GOALS
The purpose of the Derry Girls Lacrosse Club ("DGLC") is to provide female student athletes with an opportunity to learn and enjoy the sport of lacrosse, without regard to religion, race, color, creed, origin or ability, in an atmosphere of exemplary sportsmanship and integrity. DGLC members typically live within the geographical boundaries of the greater Derry area (including surrounding eligible communities of Auburn, Chester, Hampstead and Hooksett who are planning on attending Pinkerton).
Our Mission Statement: To provide and promote the above-mentioned student athletes with the opportunity to experience one of the country’s fastest growing sports – lacrosse – and to assist in their development through skill building and competition while serving as positive role models on and off the field of play. The Club will promote interest in the “Women’s Game” of Lacrosse, good sportsmanship, including safe and fair play in Lacrosse, and education of coaches, players, officials and fans about Lacrosse. We welcome all players regardless of experience and skill level. We are a recreation program. And we support past, present and future Astros!
The Derry Girls Lacrosse Club is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and organizational purposes as described under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
